Healthy pasta recipes

New Exercise and Fitness Review

Cutting carbs is all the rage, but low-carb diets don’t work in the long run. They may help you battle the short-term bulge, but the chances are, after a couple of weeks of restriction you’ll end up craving carbs more than ever.

High-glycemic starch, found in processed foods and simple carbohydrates, gets absorbed into the bloodstream quickly, causing a rapid rise in blood sugar levels. But if you choose a carb full of fibre, such as wholewheat pasta, it keeps you fuller for longer.

Melt fat fast!

Banish the bulge for good with healthy carbs

1 Stay fuller for longer

Many carb-fuelled foods like wholewheat pasta actually fill you up more than protein or fat as they are digested more slowly than other types of foods.

2 Banish hunger pangs

Carbs raise levels of satiety hormones that rev up your metabolism and tell the brain you are full.

3 Protect muscle while burning fat

The right carbs produce a fatty acid that helps you preserve muscle mass while keeping your metabolism raised.

4 Blitz belly fat

Carbs help you whittle away your belly fat faster than other foods, even when the same amount of calories is taken in.

5 Carbs up the feel-good factor

Eating carbs makes you feel more satisfied and full until your next mealtime, meaning you’re less likely to raid the biscuit tin come 3pm.
