New Exercise and Fitness Review

About

The formula used for calculating the rate of compound release at a given day t is:

λ * N(t)

Where λ is the decay constant equal to ln(2)/h, h being the half life of the compound given in days; and N(t) is the half-life equation given by:

N(t) = n * e^(-t/λ)

Where n is the original dose of the compound in mg and t is given in days.

Terminal Half-lives
•Testosterone Propionate: 0.8 days
•Testosterone Phenylpropionate: 1.5 days
•Testosterone Isocaproate: 4.0 days
•Testosterone Enanthate: 4.5 days
•Testosterone Cypionate: 5.0 days
•Testosterone Decanoate: 7.5 days
•Testosterone Undecanoate: 20.9 days
•Trenbolone Acetate: 1.0 days
•Trenbolone Enanthate: 4.5 days
•Masteron Propionate: 0.8 days
•Masteron Enanthate: 4.5 days
•Nandrolone Phenylpropionate: 1.5 days
•Nandrolone Decanoate: 7.5 days
•Equipoise: 14.0 days
•Primobolan Oral: 5 hours
•Primobolan Injectable: 4.5 days
•Halotestin: 7 hours
•Anadrol: 14 hours
•Dianabol: 5 hours
•Turinabol: 16 hours
•Winstrol Oral: 8 hours
•Winstrol Injectable: 1.0 days
•Anavar: 10 hours
•Superdrol: 10 hours

These half-lives are approximations, and may vary slightly depending on injection site, carrier oil, and other factors.

Note: A different list of half-lives is often copy and pasted on various sites, claiming that, for example, the half-life for the propionate ester is 4.5 days and that the half-life for the enanthate ester is 10.5 days. This list is incorrect, and is the result of flawed calculations many years ago. See the “References” section for more information.

Active Dose

Injectable steroids are typically bound by esters, which comprise a portion of the steroid’s weight. Because of this, 100mg of, for example, testosterone enanthate does not equate to 100mg of pure testosterone. In this case, there is only 70mg of testosterone being injected, and the remaining 30mg is the enanthate ester. This is taken into account when plotting cycles, as different esters have different weights. Listed below is the percentages of the actual hormones for different steroid and ester combinations:

•Testosterone Propionate: 80%
•Testosterone Phenylpropionate: 66%
•Testosterone Isocaproate: 72%
•Testosterone Enanthate: 70%
•Testosterone Cypionate: 69%
•Testosterone Decanoate: 62%
•Testosterone Undecanoate: 61%
•Trenbolone Acetate: 87%
•Trenbolone Enanthate: 70%
•Masteron Propionate: 80%
•Masteron Enanthate: 70%
•Nandrolone Phenylpropionate: 67%
•Nandrolone Decanoate: 64%
•Equipoise: 61%
•Primobolan Oral: 100%
•Primobolan Injectable: 70%
•Halotestin: 100%
•Anadrol: 100%
•Dianabol: 100%
•Turinabol: 100%
•Winstrol Oral: 100%
•Winstrol Injectable: 87%
•Anavar: 100%
•Superdrol: 100%

Browns QBs Manziel, Hoyer struggle in 1st half (Yahoo Sports)

New Exercise and Fitness Review

Often throwing behind or over receivers, Johnny Manziel went 2 for 7 for 29 yards in the first half of the Cleveland Browns’ exhibition game against the Washington Redskins on Monday night. The other quarterback competing for Cleveland’s starting job, Brian Hoyer, was 2 for 6 for 16 yards through two quarters. Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner and 2014 first-round draft pick, and Hoyer each played two possessions against Washington’s first-team defense – going a combined 2 for 9, with two sacks and zero points. Manziel took over for Cleveland’s next two possessions, which both ended in punts, too.

Mizuno Reading Half Marathon: race review

New Exercise and Fitness Review

When I was asked to pace the Mizuno Reading Half Marathon 2014, I jumped at the chance. It would have been my 3rdtime pacing a race but neither of my previous races were anywhere near as big as Reading. At the Reading Half in 2013 I reached my PB of 1hr30mins so I knew this was a great course to achieve that dream finish time.

As a pace maker you have to go against many of your usual race instincts. I was given the 1hr45min slot which works out an average pace of 8 minute miles. We try to maintain an even pace throughout the race as much as possible which means no picking up pace when you feel you have the energy, and no sprint finish!

At the start line it’s all about bonding with fellow runners. You can’t really go unnoticed with a large pacing flag attached to your back. This is where you try to calm nerves, give advice, tell them they can do it and that you’ll be there every step to encourage them.

The Reading Half is a great course; spectators of all ages on the side lines, pubs giving cheers of encouragement and even the odd jelly baby motivate us all to the finish line! This race truly has one of the best atmospheres I have ever witnessed, start middle and end! However even with the crowd cheering you on sometimes you need the encouragement of a fellow runner to give you that extra push – and that’s where the pacing team come into play.

We’ll tell you how far you’ve got left, how well you’re doing, help you up those hills and encourage you to open your stride during your declines. It’s our job to keep you all feeling positive throughout the race. I like a good ‘woop woop’ to motivate my team of runners!

You cannot beat running to the finish line in the roaring Madejski Stadium. There is no more incredible feeling than the endless thank-yous, the hugs, the massive smiles on the proud runners faces as they achieve their PB or complete their first ever competitive race. Knowing that you made a difference is unreal – total job satisfaction!

I will be returning to pace the Mizuno Reading Half Marathon 2015 because apart from the amazing feeling you get knowing you’ve helped people run a great race and achieve PBs, the free Mizuno trainers and race t-shirt aren’t bad either – us keen runners can never have enough kit!

Natalie Babington, member of the official Pacing Team of the Mizuno Reading Half Marathon
